What happens at the event

 The documents in the case

Players are invited to a one-day or half-day event at a venue of your choice. There, they are assistant investigators, asked by our host Detective Chief Inspector to solve a baffling, non-violent crime.

If you have chosen the leadership support or recruitment options, observers will be present to monitor everyone's behaviour throughout the event.  The participants will be told they are being observed.

Evidence emerges across the day.  Expect dozens of clues, such as website pages, text messages, love letters, emails, social media posts, witness testimony, CCTV footage, appointment calendars, legal documents, travel records, audio recordings, photos, financial records, police reports, newspaper coverage...
All the suspects seem to have motive, means and opportunity - but whodunnit?

Players need to piece the clues together and solve this very complex mystery. They're more likely to be successful if they work as a team to make sense of all the information.

After 75% of the session time, they will be asked to agree their solution. They need to decide who they believe committed the crime; and why. They'll need to provide evidence. There's a given deadline.

Then, we'll reveal all. We'll explain who did it, why and how, with time for questions on how all the pieces fit together.  And we'll celebrate all the successful solutions....
